形態特徵

• Perennial twiners, stem slender, trailing and twining, herbaceous, glabrous.
• Leaves pedately compound, leaflets usually 5, lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, sessile, acute, 3–6 cm long, 1–3 cm wide, entire, glabrous; petiole ca. 8 cm long.
• Flowers on filiform, spirally coiled peduncle, these rarely straight and not coiled, ca. 2–2.5 cm long, usually 1-flowered; pedicel 7–10 mm long, bracts at base 2; sepals ovate, 5–7 mm long, obtuse or rounded; corollas lavender or purplish, 1.5–2 cm long, campanulate-funnelform, glabrous, limb 2 cm broad; stamens white, unequal, filaments of long stamens white, 1 cm long, lower half white-hairy, filaments of short stamens 7 mm long, glabrous; pistils white, 1 cm long, stigma 2-lobed, 1 mm wide; ovary 1.5 mm long.
• Capsule globose to ovoid, 8–10 mm long, glabrous; seeds often 4, finely pubescent.

分布

• 台灣 : only in the eastern region; roadsides and other disturbed sites.
• 世界 : Mexico, U.S.A. (southern Texas).
